Home sewing day...

Log cabin block became a potholder/oven mitt. Tested out a pattern from the web someplace (not that this is a terribly mind-taxing project!!) and will watch those curve clippings in the future!

A rainy Saturday after some fall cleanup in the yard. My thrift craft of the day was to take a thrifted book of upholstery samples ($2 from a charity shop years ago) and create a cover for our tired look computer chair. Those $17 Walmart chairs are great for the budget - after a year the fabric sags and all the "cush" gone in the padding. Voila - a bit of foam leftover from another project and fabric and no $$ to fix!! (Sure is more cheerful than the basic black of before).

  1. Hi Jackie,
Just came across your blog, which is great! I have a desk chair that needs help and what you have done here is inspiring! Thanks for the idea!
