Resuming weekly beach walks with a friend...and have this great treasure!
Lots of whole shells found on our last foray - this one had to come home. I'm fascinated by the rippled underside edges of the coil and by the point of light that shines through the center.
I keep picking it up and holding it up to the light trying to suss the inner structure!

Progression
Carefully adding some detail work with the Pitt pens now. Later to layer and stitch, then more paint perhaps?
Just tiny efforts applied in making creations at the moment.
Larger efforts saved for house sprucing and decluttering - an on going theme this year! Another bedroom painted as the junior sewist anticipates middle school and the tween years - away with the kindergarten border!
(My vanity sneeks in as I try to get a pic of new hair color for family to see, yet hide the bulk of me behind the mirror frame! Don't ya' just love that deer-in-the-headlights frozen for a photo expression! )

PHOOEY
YAY - I'm creating.
YAY - I'm working larger.
BOO - I'll have to scrap/adapt where the water seeped under the glue gel dam.
