And feels so wonderful.
Finalized the 2nd panel from our Girl Scout troop heading for the Dream Rocket project. Shipped them both today. If we're on time and lucky they might make the display at the Brooklyn Children's Museum in March.
Daughter's yukata kimono robe got hemmed so she can wear it.
Finished the Girl Scout cookie paperwork and bookkeeping - yahoo! Done done done with the cookie chaos.
And scored minimally priced Mikasa plates from Goodwill thrift to use for everyday - I was finally tired of the mismatched stuff and soooo happy to find ones I like that I don't mind when we break them. (yup - we're a bit rough on dishes!!)

Nature Break

Ahhh - beautiful colors - Florida blue blue sky reflected in the water here.

A long outing to Green Cay nature center with its raised boardwalks through the wetlands.

our shadow habit

Vivid vivid green of the duck weed (and a touch of algae)

That's Florida winter in the distance - just a few brownish trees with no leaves.
Looks tranquil? Sure. And it was hopping busy with the Seniors doing their walking laps and clusters of moms and strollers charging around at top speed. (1.5 mile loop)
Birds were pretty noisy too - not bothered by us clomping humans on the boardwalks!
(no fancy video quality here - ignore the sideways camera - I'll fix that later - Listen!!)

Working
Phewph! Sewing machine came out of its snit and is behaving again.
It must just overheat and get cranky - it was sweaty warm in the studio yesterday, and I was zig-zagging away on cording. Too much for its aging bones???
Off and out today - last weekend for selling all those !@#$!@#$ boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I think we're retiring from this lark after this year, it's just not fun any more...!

Cording prep

fabric strips prepped for new batch of cording...

and a new colorway results...
but - sewing machine acting up AGAIN - time for a (pricey) service, I'm afraid....
[couldn't possibly be due to me making the machine do things it's not quite meant to do??? Nah...]
