Happy New Year and mini Thrift Share

PGTips, Walkers Shortbread, Cath Kidston, Wedgwood and Brambly Hedge
an English Christmas!

Happy New Year!
Did you miss me?
It was an unintended blogging break after goingtodisneyeveryonegettingsickthedogdiedneededaquietchristmasandlifereset.

New Years' breakfast addiction

And now - back and refreshed. Standard New Year's fresh start - and a slight addiction to the healthy breakfast above. Waffles, berries, yogurt and almonds. (No, I'm not going to debate the micro-details of what's healthy etc...this food makes me feel good, so I'm sticking to it!!)

Marcrest or Stetson Swiss Alpine/Chalet plates and bowls - unused!

Want to take a peek in my eBay/Etsy resale room?
Just a couple of new bits to share!
Those dishes above are unused and still have a price tag on the reverse of some.
Looks like they may have been grocery store premium dishes - you know, the ones you'd purchase bit by bit each week you'd shop.

Britain in Pictures books

And I discovered a few more volumes of the Britain in Pictures books. Country Living featured them in Sept 2012 which tickled me because I'd just plucked some off a used bookshop shelf, falling in love with their colors and graphics.

They display well and have some interesting color plates inside.

The best opening line? Kate O'Briens'

"Let me begin with the hard saying that the best English diaries have been written by bores."

(snicker)

My (probable) keeper of the lot?

"Life Among the Scots" -  hubby's name is Scott as well as his two good buddies. (Makes for some confusing conversations)

Otagiri textured winter mug

A wintery mug and a Franklin Library fancy bound book came home with me too.

Paint doodles on watercolor postcards

Creatively not in a stitching mode - instead painting colorful postcards to swap with friends.

Mosaic Dreamtime postcards

And onwards with the year...time for another cuppa' tea and crawling on the floor assembling an IKEA flatpack cabinet!!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Welcome back and Happy New Year or gung hei fat choy!

I love your thrift finds! They are very "WOW!" Since I'm banned from thrifting til my hoarded life is more manageable, I'll just visit here for my virtual thrifting bargain outbursts!

Thank you for sharing your amazing finds and especially for your inspiring art!
