I am fortunate to live in an area with ample access to thrift shops, garage sales and antique & collectible fairs.
This, and my natural thrifty nature, have allowed me to be a full time at-home mom to my daughter.
I've recently begun to sell at Etsy - a project that I'll be expanding this year!
and I've been an eBay seller for over a decade
I enjoy the online reselling activities - and am grateful for the flexibility it provides to generate some small income and fit around the busy-ness of home and family life!
PaperBackSwap.com has been a great site for searching for and swapping books (US only I believe).
I use the Wish List for books not yet released and for those hard to find series books. My daughter shops for Manga (Japanese graphic novels/comics) on this site!
It's not just for paperbacks! Hardbacks and audio books are swapped here, too.
I've even taken my PaperBackSwap credits swapped them to the SwapADVD credits to "buy" those hard to find movies that we want to own.
And then there's Swagbucks - earn points for search activity on the web - redeem for gifts and prizes. (I usually get Amazon gift cards!)
