Remember this? - Thrift Share Monday

Mobile phone test photo

Fueling up for a thrifty day.
35 cent Mother Goose and Grimm mug, breakfast bowl with berries and Weetabix on the patio.

Stunning phone camera shot of Goodwill Boutique

Taking smartphone pictures in bright sunlight is a gamble - can't see the screen - and guaranteed a blur!  This store was an overpriced bust - but other just never know.

Vera Neumann Island Worcester jug, tablecloth and napkins

Vintage Flint/Echo Arrowhead utensils

Eastern Airlines in flight flatware

Our next stop turned up some great vintage houseware goodies.
Do you remember Eastern Airlines?

Five Guys burgers and fries

Time for a bite and recharge...then on to our final stop, the shopping center with 4 thrift shops!

Reverse stacking snack set

Current stationery and Gay Nineties Doilies

Current Just-a-Notes

Littlest Pet Shop critters

Another stacking snack set - can't tell if it's vintage or not.
Made in Japan and in too good condition to be terribly old.

Current stationery was sold by mail order and seen rarely in shops.
My sister and I poured over the catalog each time it arrived,
usually affording only the items in the sale section - most often the blind draw grab bags.
I had numerous penpals growing up - a side effect of constant moves - stationery was always on my shopping list!

And the LPS critters?
What can I say - they were a good price, a little bit too cute, and an impulse buy at the end of the day!
