Elementary school had a half day today. We spent the afternoon as a family on our yearly visit to the South Florida Fair. My favorite part is Yesteryear village - a collection of vintage regional buildings clustered together staffed with volunteer docents.
This 1925 home has wonderful simplicity. The wear on the vinyl floor - fantastic! More pics on my Flickr site (link in sidebar).
Next door to this home I met the former owner and her sister of a relocated 1930's home - a delight to tour through her childhood home and hear her memories.
Weather was perfect for visiting - sky a soft grey - not blazing hot as we toured the buildings and watched all the classic fair shows (racing pigs, dog tricks), gazed a rows of animals on display (poultry, rabbits, mooternity cows), agriculture exhibits.
