I'm sending this quilt in to the International Fiber Collaborative. It will be one of 800 fiber squares joined together to cover a defunct gasoline station in New York. A protest against the dependency on oil. (Link in side bar)
My design has 3 bands of roadway separated by a strip of grass (for all the land that gets covered by asphalt) then a strip of corn (for the efforts in alternative fuels) and finally a strip of red (warning). I'm having entirely too much fun constructing this!
