the latest Quiling Arts magazine has a Go Green challenge to make 5" square quiltlets using only things you already have on hand. Even better to use unusual items.
Mine's not too much of a stretch. I used the paper towels left from mopping up after the schoolwork acrylic painting, then fused to Peltex, added some sheer ribbon and played with the automatic stitches on my Janome.
