I mentioned last post that I had some new books from the library. Sandra Meech's book (Contemporary Quilts; Design, Surface and Stitch) is turning out to be a great companion to my college design course. Same sort of design projects I'm doing at school with visuals tweaked to fiber. Her book includes these Design Classes;
1. Looking at a source through a window and determining color proportions,
2. Creating a sketchbook,
3. Creative block design from a source and through rotate and repeat,
4. Colour by design - working different color combos to change emphasis and mood,
5. Inspired landscape - mixed media piece from landscape source.
Meanwhile I've been poking through the web and have these fibery links to add for inspiration...
