A finish in a day is a good thing!

Finished binder cover

Probably had to do with a huge amount of iced tea I had out at lunch today.

Spare blocks and a binder

I was hopping to get going when I returned to the studio - finding projects on every work surface.

Ironing board "work table"

I cleared up the couple of dog postcards I'd finished stitching the day before...

...and got going seaming together the random blocks from a Craftsy quilt course I'd tried. (and abandoned 1/2 way through - not liking working to such a big scale)

Painted block with cityscape stitching

Even my task chair had in process work draped over it!

Nevertheless - I got something done! Covering the garish yellow binder with a slipoff patchwork cover.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I love the title of your blog - Blissfully imperfect. exactly! we don't have to be perfect. The Tadeo turtles I am making to sell at a conference with my book are NOT perfect. But that's good because we are not either. So if we get over ourselves we can learn to love each other.
God cares for us - as we are.

I love your colour, designs and just the whole post.

    Blessings,

  5. Great cover, and love the WIP over the back of the chair in terms of colour. Admire that you can have more than one thing on the go - it makes my head spin!

  6. You look so organized to have WIP's. My UFO's are usally scattered everywhere! Wish I could sew. OK, I am asking my WOYWW folks to rally behind me and I truly need your support. I am in a contest and the voting ends today so it's now or never. PLEASE go vote for me, yes, I am begging, lol http://www.genuinelyjanestudios.com/genuinelyblog/gjs-design-a-book-contest-top-three-finalists-announced/
