Enduring the struggle

As I'd mentioned in a previous post, I'm re-reading Stephen King's "On Writing" mostly for the peeks into the creative process.

Today's passage that stuck out which he writes as one of the lessons learned from his first big novel "Carrie"...

"...the realization that stopping a piece of work just because it's hard, either emotionally or imaginatively, is a bad idea. Sometimes you have to go on when you don't feel like it, and sometimes you're doing good work when it feels like all you're managing is to shovel sh*t from a sitting position."
